Procurement and Logistics Officer – Professional

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Procurement and Logistics Officer to support its mission in Chuuk. Reporting to the Chief of Mission and the Head of Resources Management, the officer will coordinate procurement, logistics and supply‑chain activities to ensure timely delivery of quality goods and services to beneficiaries.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor procurement processes, logistics operations and related supply‑chain activities.
• Ensure goods and services are delivered at optimal cost, quality and timeliness.
• Train, supervise and mentor co‑workers involved in procurement and logistics.
• Manage relationships with vendors, suppliers and service providers.
• Support emergency and crisis‑response procurement in complex environments.
• Contribute to community‑based and small‑grant programmes, particularly infrastructure and civil‑society projects.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement or related field with at least two years of relevant experience, OR a university degree with four years of experience.
• Certification in procurement, logistics or supply‑chain management is an advantage.
• Proven experience managing diverse procurement and logistics operations.
• Demonstrated ability to train and supervise teams and manage vendors.
• Experience working in crisis or emergency settings and with NGOs or international organisations.
