About the role
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Programme Coordinator for the COFA READY Component 2 – Disaster Readiness. The position will be based in Pohnpei and will oversee readiness activities across the Federated States of Micronesia, Republic of Palau and Republic of the Marshall Islands.
Key responsibilities
- Provide strategic oversight and coordination of Component 2 activities in the three Pacific nations.
- Lead programme planning, implementation monitoring, and reporting to donors and senior management.
- Manage resources, budgets and procurement in line with IOM policies.
- Maintain high‑level liaison with government authorities, UN agencies, NGOs and other stakeholders.
- Support the Chief of Mission and Head of Programmes in decision‑making and risk management.
Required profile
- Master’s degree in International Relations, Political Science, Business, Public Administration, International Studies or a related field.
- Relevant professional experience in programme coordination, disaster preparedness or humanitarian assistance.
- Demonstrated ability to work in multi‑country, multi‑stakeholder environments.
- Strong analytical, reporting and resource‑management skills.
