Senior Auditor - Pohnpei

About the role

EY is hiring a Senior Auditor in Pohnpei, Federated States of Micronesia. The role centres on helping clients meet their reporting requirements by accurately reporting on financial statements and providing insight into accounting and reporting matters. You will deliver audit activities for clients and act as a trusted advisor on complex issues.

Key responsibilities

• Implement planned audit procedures and programs for substantial parts of an audit so the firm can form an opinion on clients' financial statements.
• Plan engagement objectives and an audit strategy that complies with professional standards and addresses risk.
• Apply in-depth technical knowledge of complex accounting and auditing concepts within the allotted time.
• Review financial statements and other schedules required by regulatory agencies.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams such as IT Audit and Tax specialists to complete the audit on time.
• Apply new and emerging developments in accounting to serve clients.
• Monitor progress to consistently deliver quality client service.
• Maintain long-term client relationships and cultivate business development opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Accounting, Finance or a related field with 3 years of related experience, or a master's degree with 2 years of related experience.
• 2 years of recent audit experience with a public accounting firm.
• 2 years of experience planning and executing audits of internal controls over financial reporting.
• 2 years of experience planning, executing and reporting on audits of financial statements.
• 2 years of experience using audit documentation software.
